  • Hi you guys- help me

    Hi again everyone,
    Here I am again. Since my last posting, I have been on and off induction. Its been very hard for me, especially when my ex is always making fun of me and doubting me. Some times I lose track and end up not sticking to induction. But, yesteraday I finally decided that I can no longer take anymore of his crap. At a time like this, I want and need a supporting partner not someone like him. I am finally done with him and his lies. So I told him off yesteraday. I weighted myself this morning and I weight 197. My body mass is 50% fat says my scale. I am very disappointed. So please help me. Give me any advice you have.

    Hi. It's great that you decided to stick to Atkins and make it a lifestyle.

    Did you read Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, 2002? There are also some sticky threads in the "Atkins Diet 14-day Induction" forum that might help you.

      Congratulations, now you have found your motivation (well, besides your health). When you drop the weight and are smokin' hot, you can make your ex drool and feel like fool for letting such a catch get away.

      You can do this if you read the book, seek support here, and focus on YOU.

        the best way to ruin a good life change is negative people. remember that! i had a bad 2 yr relationship while trying atkins several times, and gained 60 lbs!

          this sounds harsh , but sometimes the best motovation for him sayn these thing is to prove him wrong! lose the weight, find a great guy and make him eat his words! believe me his jaw will drop when he see's you with all the weight off. i did this to an ex after about the same situation! the look on her face was priceless! good luck! you can do it!

            Even though it is hard right now do your best to do a clean induction. The sooner you calm the cravings the easier it gets. Oh, and exercise. Exercise helps to take the inches off!

            You can do this! Take care of yourself and go get you a hotter guy and make him jealous!

                I'm going to give you 3 words of advise that were given to me and I heeded -- FORGET THE JERK. If you have children together take care of that portion of your life, but other than that why does it matter what he says to you, what he does - you aren't with him anymore - he can only make you feel bad if YOU allow him to.

                Believe me - I know the feeling of wanting to "show him" and "make him pay" or "see what he's missing".....instead, turn those words around and prove to yourself that YOU are worth good health, that you are the one missing out because the pounds will come off when YOU make up your mind that YOU want to do it for YOU. YOU are the right reason, not him.

                I agree with the other posts -

                1. clean induction is crucial it's only 2 weeks that's nothing compared to how many days you have spent overeating and eating crap.
                2. plenty of water -- 64 ounces of clear water MINIMUM a day
                3. exercise, if you don't have time take a few minutes and dance, put some fast music on and dance your day away....it's a great stress reliever. Walk, take the stairs instead of the elevator, park further from the door -- it's getting exercise in when you aren't really thinking about it.
