  • I've Found Friends

    Hello, I am happy to have found friends. My husband is going along for this ride with me. Our dogs think this is the best thing on the planet.
    Our carbs went in a rubbermate out of sight. We gave away things that would go bad. And here we are a week in. The first three days were bad for me, feeling like a slug, and nausea. Then day four was much better. This was also the day I found out staying away from the store in the morning was going to be a must for awhile. This is when they do there baking and it smells good. But I did not give in. I came out with meat, eggs, and cream as I went for.

    This is my second time around. The first time was seven years ago. I lasted ten days. I lived in a fog for these days. I lost six pounds, and kept four off for two years. At that time I was living with seven other people who seemed to always be bringing around my weak foods. So hoping this time I can stick it out and get back to where I feel good. I'm older, I have more will power, more fat, and willing give these poeple a kite and tell them were to fly it.

    So this time the road seems better. And the moments it doesn't I have a slice of bacon. My low fat life didn't let me have that.

    My husband is doing good. Thankfully, he never went through the flu. He also has been living through the low fat life with me, trying to be a good husband. He had no luck with it either.

    So that is how I got here. I am glad that there is a here to come to.

      Glad you are here, but since you have so little to lose don't be too shocked if it comes off slowly. It is supposed to. Don't get frustrated. Just be patient.

          I know what you mean about finding friends because that's exactly how I felt when I found this board. The people here are great supporters and very special. We are a family and I'm glad you joined us.

                Thank you everyone. I do understand the less you have to go the slower it is going to go. As long as there is some movement on the scale and it isn't up I will be happy. Better to corner the problem before it gets out of hand.

                I feel great, that is a good start. Other then we had snow this morning, and that can bring anyone down.

                But I just finished making wrapper less wonton soup. I have some BBQing to do, hoping that the snow flakes falling from the sky will stop so I can get out there, and get that done and finish my house work before the husband gets home. Nothing worse then trying to work around a husband in a small space.

                I hope everyone has a great day. Remember just take one day at a time.

                  welcome Buster -- we've had rain off and on for the past few days...it's like snow only not as white...LOL!!! Glad you found ADBB and are doing well so far...you are lucky to have your husband doing this with you -- makes it so much easier at meal time.

                    Not that I am really sure where to post. I am not really a blogger. I do not have internet a lot of the time. Since we work a few weeks in eat town. But I am doing great. I was down to 125.2 lbs yesterday morning. This morning I am up a little 126.2 lbs. But my monthly is coming soon. I drank a lot yesterday and didn't go much. So I'm not worried.
                    My husband is also down nine pounds. He figured that was what he'd be down. I was thinking five pounds for me. So i was really happy to see eight when I got here and another pound in the morning. Yes morning you are always you lightest.
                    Both are moving along our belts. I'm going to have to dig out my other jeans before I leave town for the next two weeks away. I am wearing clothing that I wouldn't have put on last week. I am happy, with myself, and happy with what I am seeing.
                    I hope everyone is having a great day. I know I am. We haven't had snow in a few days. The deer are even finding flowers in the flower bed to eat. LOL

                      it sounds like you are both doing wonderfully!! Keep up the good work. What type of exercise are you doing? It's critical you get up and get moving
