Chunky but happily starting in Georgia

    Hello yall from Georgia,
Tommorow I am going to bring forth on my willpower and begin this program that I have read so many wonderful success stories on. I am 5 feet 11 and weigh today 284 pounds. I was always regular size until about 15 years ago, then slowly started creeping up on me. I need to do this for myself, my self esteem, my health and my children. I looked in the mirror today at the store, and about balled right there. I just hope I have the willpower to continue, cupcakes and twinkies stay away. Thank you for your motivation and stories, I appreciate everyone.

    Welcome LoriRene!!!!

    I live in Georgia, too!!!

Make sure you read the rules for induction and follow them. If you do a clean induction, your cravings for cupcakes and twinkies will disappear!

Welcome, and the best of luck to you!

Welcome Lori -- the first couple days keep some chicken or meat of any kind close and dunk it in mayo -- you will loose the cravings faster if you keep enough fat in your system .... after the first couple days you won't even remember why you liked twinkees and cupcakes. Within a month your tastbuds will change so much you won't want the food you were eating before.

If a food isn't on the acceptable food list don't put it in your mouth. You need a clean induction to set the foundation for your future weightloss. Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day (not tea or coffee or kool-aid -- W A T E R). Exercise is mandatory also everyday.

Good luck on your journey -- here are a few links for recipes. Use only induction recipes until you are ready to start up the rungs!!
