  • Hello everyone.....

    My name is Kathleen and I look forward to the support of these forums. This is the second time I have started the Atkins plan. This time I am following it to the letter and already am having better results.

    I am 55 and ready to be healthier.

    Thanks in advance for all the support and help I know I will find here.

      Push-ups: 450/800
      Abs: 850/1900
      Squats: 650/1200
      Lunges: 500/1000
      Strength: 490/1200
      Running: 50/100 km

        Welcome Kathleen. Atkins is a great WOE for you. I am feeling so good on this WOE and have great bloodwork to boot. I am 48 and will tell you to have patience with your body--we tend not to lose as quickly as we once did. But I am down 12 pounds in six weeks so it will work for us menopausal people too. LOL

          hi Kathleen -- great job on your weight loss so far!! When you get over 50 we have different challenges than our 20 year old counterparts so we support each other!! Look around the forum and check out all the different forums - we have a great time here. I'm glad you are following the plan to the letter - that's the way it has to be for it to work. Remember to drink at least 64 ounces of water everyday and find some form of exercise you can do also.

          Good luck on your journey!! We have all been where you are today -- if you need anything just ask!!

            Welcome to the board, Kathleen!

            You've come to the right place of inspiration and support. We are all here to help each other. I'm glad to hear that you are already seeing results.

            Check out the 'second time around club' for those of us who have tried Atkins before. Sometimes it takes more than one try to learn that this is the only thing that really works!

                Did you make an ADBB ticker?
                You just copy the whole code (the BB code) and post it in your edit signature spot. Hope that helps.
