    Greetings,
Today I am a week on Atkins induction and I am very happy with my results. I have lost 7lbs in the last 7 days by following the rules to the letter. I must admit I have been a bit lazy on the excersise front but that will start from this weekend.
The reason I have decided to write this post is that this forum has been an excellent source of inspiration for me and in the last few weeks before I made the decision to commit I have been dipping in and reading through the success stories.
For all the potential atkineers out there, it does work! and for all the regulars, A Big Thanks for all your hints and tips!
    Cheers, Flynner

Way to go Flynner you're doing great. Get up and do some exercise - no excuses! I've gone from huffing and puffing to the corner to walking several miles at a time and riding 15 - 20 miles at a time on my stationary bike....and that's from a fat middle age woman who sat on her rear for years -- you are young and I have faith you can do this!!

Here are a few recipe site links you can use to find great recipes to add to the everyday things you eat. Make sure you are eating induction recipes to begin with!

Good luck to you -- if you need anything all you have to do is ask! We never close!!

        Carole,
I never thanked u for your first encouraging mail, I posted the mail below in the wrong section, i think, and i wanted to update u on my progress, im not that good with forum etiquette, apologies. Many thanks for your suggestions and recipes, they were all very helpfull, keep up the good work yourself and keep encouraging us newbies
        Cheers Brian

        Dear All,
I posted the first day i started to introduce myself and to thank all the previous posters for the support and encouragement before i embarked on my own personal campaign.
I wanted to keep you posted of my progress and hope it spurs someone else out there to start to day.
Day 1, 15th of April i was 40 years old, 241lbs 6ft 1inch and needed a change, as I said, i stumbled accross this forum and started to follow the induction....to be honest i have stuck to the plan as best as possible and have never really strayed too far, my only treat is the occasional couple of bottles of Coors Lite, apart from that its been salads, meat eggs and water galore. Only recently i have started running at lunchtime with colleagues and now we are up to 10k in just over an hour. A great site for those of you with Nokia phones is this one for keeping track of ur progress, we could even set up an Atkins Group www.sportstracker.nokia.com
I have had my ups and downs like most others on this plan with some of the plateau's/stalls causing me serious pain.
Today i am 214lbs and the same height and can run 10k without stopping. This is the lightest i have been in 20 years and enjoying every moment of it. My plan is to stick with it, as it is now a habit and a complete lifestyle change. My goal is to see sub 200lbs on the scales and i can see it now in my not to distant future for the first time since I was 18 years.
Finally, i have to thank my beautiful wife and my 4 fantastic boys for all their support, encouragement and salads during my weightloss journey.....

For all those first timers out there...stick with it....and for all the veterans, thanks for the inspiration
