  • Hello from Texas/ Germany

    Hey guys,

I found this forum when I was goggle-ing some low carb information and thought it might be a great motivation and support - so here I am ;o)

I just wanna introduce myself very briefly.

I am 19 years old and was pretty upset with the way I look(ed) and a good friend of mine gave me a book which kinda put me on a low carb diet for 30 days.... I gave it a shot thinking "I can do 30 days and if I don't like it I can still go back to my old habits and if I do...the better! I don't have anything to lose."
So this is more than 8 weeks ago and I am still cutting back on carbs cause the improvement I felt was amazing...

Right now I am kinda stuck in my weight loss - which is indeed pretty
    frustrating.

I hope to find a lot of interesting, motivating, supportive and inspiring posts...

Have a great day and keep the hard work up!

        Welcome to the board, Kampflausi!

I'm glad you are doing well and feeling better on your low carb diet. You should do well on Atkins too.

If you are still in a stall, try limiting the amount of cheese you are eating because that seems to really help some people, including me!

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

hi Kamp -- you have already come and ask about the water challenge so you know the importance of getting enough water each day. You need to drink at least 64 ounces of pure water each day - anything that isn't pure water doesn't count toward your total.

Exercise is a must -- we all need to be more active and the sooner you find some form of exercise to do the better you'll feel and the inches will start melting faster.

Good luck on your journey - here are some links that I hope will help.

            Re: Hello from Texas/ Germany

            Thank y'all.

It took me a long time to be brave enough to increase my carb intake because I was so scared I would immediately gain weight again and could not stop myself once I got started eating foods that have not been allowed in the 14 day induction...

Turns out I am right. I am constantely snacking throughout the day...nuts here, cheese there. It is all LC but I am not hungry - just in the mood to chew (

Would it make sense to go back to the induction phase again and kinda start over...trying to learn to appreciate the nuts, LC ice cream, cheese and all that stuff?

            Have a great day, y'all!
