Hi Jajo and welcome to the board. You may already know that this board 'follows' the 2002 edition of the Dr Atkins's New Diet Revolution (usually abbreviated to DANDR) so if you don't already have a copy then that is an important step - get one and read it thoroughly. There are lots of really useful 'sticky' posts on the board - so read as many of them as you can. Also post your questions and successes on the board - there is a huge amount of knowledge and experience here. So come here often - for advice, inspiration and often a bit of a laugh!
Doing Atkins with a partner can be a real help - myself and my DH are also working together on this - you can really support each other.

Welcome jajo -- make sure you are following the 2002 DANDR book, until you get one you can read the "stickies" at the top of each of the threads for more information. The book is a great reference for you and you'll learn the reasoning behind this plan and why it works!
Learn the rules of induction and eat ONLY food on the acceptable foods list...if it's not on the list, don't put it in your mouth. Drink at least 64 ounces of pure water each day (more is better) and exercise -- the 3 biggest things you need to know are food/water/exercise. Give yourself 14 days to do a clean induction and you'll be amazed at yourself. If you aren't following these principals you aren't really doing Atkins. Good luck to you.
