  • New from Canada

Hi everyone. With my husband, and my son, I have decided to try the Atkins way of losing weight. We're all too heavy, and one of us is pre-diabetic. I'm the one who likes to exercise but perhaps with weight-loss, my 2 fav guys will start to exercise too. After all, we have the equipment, just need the motivation! My favourite thing to do is yoga at dawn, preferably.
We have a collie (like Lassie), who I walk every day, but it's his walk not mine. I enjoy biking more, so in the nice weather, I slowly bike along so our dog can keep up. Actually, he's usually out front of me anyway!
I'll be checking the different forums for tips and support on a regular basis. Thanks for being here!

        Re: New from Canada

I have spent pretty well all day on the computer just checking out different forum threads, recipes, before and after pics. Wow! what a website. I also did charts for each of the 3 of us, so we can track out losses. Now I really must go make some supper. Thanks for the welcome!

          Re: New from Canada

Welcome Fancy, it's great to have you here!

I'm from Canada as well, British Columbia actually.

I wish you, your husband and son all great health and success. This way of eating truly works if you do it exactly the way it is outlined and make it a way of life...it's not to be used as a quick fix (not that I think you or anyone in your family would do that) rather to be made the way we eat for the rest of our lives.

Remember to drink lots of water, eat correctly and exercise...they all go hand in hand.

Come here lots, read as many posts as you can...this board is an incredible tool to help you out in your personal journey...and of course...post as often as you like!

Looking forward to hearing updates on how it's going for all of you.

          All the best!
