  • Induction begins today

    Hello all,

I'm 45 yr old Canadian that moved to New York State several years ago with my husband. I'm no stranger to Atkins as I'd had some success with it about five years ago. It's funny how life takes a turn and in the blink of an eye (it seems) 20 lbs have positioned themselves strategically upon various parts of my body without me even noticing.

So...I'm 6'0 tall 186 lbs and according to statistics my ideal weight is 165 lbs. and therefore have 21 lbs to go with a target date of June 20 (that's less than 2 months) but I'm very motivated.

I'm looking forward to helping everyone stay motivated as I re-learn my eating patterns.

    Julie

    Welcome, Julie!

Glad to hear you've chosen to relearn healthy eating patterns! And glad you came back before the weight crept up higher.

And best of luck on meeting your goal!

          Re: Induction begins today

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm so glad I found you! Like many I 'thought' I was doing Induction all last week and when I didn't get the results I was looking for (3 lbs loss) I came looking for support.

Evidently I need to tweak a couple of things. That includes monitoring my Splenda consumption because I was having several cups of coffee AND several glasses of Crystal Light daily. (Bad, bad Julie )

I was also incorporating too much cheese in my diet (likely double) having found a recipe for a Low Carb Taco Bake and using it for lunch and dinner 3 days in a row (very yummy)...but hey now, I have enough of it in my freezer to make lunches for every day this week.

Seems like I'll need to work on some new dinner ideas. Thanks again for the welcome and Happy Monday!

Hi, I'm starting atkin diet today. I've done the diet before that's the only diet that works for me. Best of luck.
