  • Coming back to what works...

    Hi Everyone!

My Name is Kim. I think I was a member here a few years ago. I have followed Atkins on and off for about 5 years. I have always been successful, then seem to stray and go back to eating whole grains, and lots of fruits and veggies, and then that would lead to the occasional junk food treat, then it was back to my old ways.

So here I am again. I had a baby in June of 2008, and am 10 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight which is awesome! But I still have 30 lbs to lose. I have been on Induction for 2 weeks. Last weekend my sister visited and I drank rum and diet cokes, (a lot of them), so I guess you can say I am restarting, as of Sunday 4/26. I am in ketosis, aside from the alcohol I did not stray from the food plan. I am also in the Gym 5 days a week faithfully, and am down 1 lb. UGH! Should be like 5 lbs.......
Oh well., I am back on track and fully motivated to be successful once and for all.

My plan is to stay on induction until I lose 15 lbs then start moving up the rungs.
    Wish me luck!

I'll be chatting with you all I am sure, (when the baby is not calling me)

    Kim.

    Welcome back, Kim!

I'm glad you have realized that Atkins is the only thing that works and is worth the effort to get to where you want to be!

Since you don't have a lot to lose, you probably won't lose as fast as someone else might but just be patient and it will happen.

We are all here to help keep you motivated so drink your water, stick with the exercise and you will get results.

There is a veggie challenge starting next Monday that might help you with your diet. You can sign up for it now.

Thank you all! I will definitely check out the challenges.
I have an issue being able to get on all the time with a 10 month old so my appearances may be intermittent.
