  • Thank you for being here!

Thank you so much for creating, maintaining this site and just plain being here. I don't like to call Atkins a diet, because it's not something you ever really go off of. This is how we all should eat for life. We are the lucky ones for having found this plan and realize that it is what works.

But we also have to fight the constant bombardment of our stressful lives and the ease of grabbing a cheeseburger and fries while we rush through our lives. No, we need to take better care to remain on our Atkins journeys and support each other through it.

I will be 43 years old on May 12th. All my life I was thin. I could eat anything and not gain a pound. Then after my two boys were born a year apart, I would go between 126 and 142, depending on the time of year or whatever. Then at 37, I started living an unhealthy lifestyle and just destroyed my body. For a long time I tried every diet known to man. Nothing worked. I was so scared, my doctor checked my thyroid three times.
Nope, it was my fault. Late in 2008, I found Atkins and it started working! I've been messing around for the last couple months, but now I'm serious.
I weighed 197 today and I want to be 189 by my birthday.

So thanks for being here, because I really need your support. I hope along the way, I can be support to all of you as well.

How do you add your ticker and the cute icons after your signature?

The ticker you can make here at adbb. Mine is from the tickerfactory. When You make it there will be a code that you cope into your signature section (you find it under User CP)
Not sure what you mean by icons.

Re: Thank you for being here!

Thank you for the info, I will try to figure out how to put the ticker on there. I made one, but I couldn't get it to apply to my signature.

By icons, I just meant the cute little smileys and everything else people have after their names.

          I'll figure it out... LOL

          Thanks again,
