    New

    Good Morning everyone,

I'm new here. I have done Atkins before years ago and lost approximately 50 pounds. I decided to begin this journey again because i am tired of being overweight. I have struggled with this battle for years. I'm 30 years old and have decided that this is my year to get all this weight off!

I'm hoping to lose an significant amount of weight by the end of August. my hubby and i are going to the Bahamas and i want to be comfortable and happy! My current weight is 335. I started watching my carbs on March 4th (not completely doing Atkins) and I went from 356.8 to 335. I'm anxious to get started again. I welcome any suggestions, ideas and inspiration that you all may have! Thank you in advance for welcoming me to your broad!

Welcome, hisgirl! And congrats on your loss so far!

You've come to the right place for support and inspiration!

Read the book, drink your water, eat your veggies and read the forums for answers to all your questions. You might also want to check out the Century Club for people who have a lot to lose.

    Good luck to you!

welcome -- you are in a great place for support...we have all had the same feelings you are experiencing right now. Because of that we are more able to be supportive than most people you see on a daily basis. A trip to the Bahamas sounds wonderful and something to really look forward to.

Here are some links for recipes and a couple others you'll need to get through induction. read the 2002 DANDR book so you understand why this isn't a diet, but a lifelong way of eating. I can't imagine going back to eating the old junk I use to, I love the meals I eat now.

      Good luck to you!!
