    Greetings,
    I have to clean cupboards and go shopping this weekend and so plan to start Sunday May 10. I really could use a sponsor, pen pal, guardian for this process. A female over 50 years old who had at least 40 lbs to lose, or would like to lose with me. I just know if I have a buddy things will be easier.

    Any advice on clearing stuff from the kitchen and what to make certain to have on hand. I work in an office, and travel a great deal so thoughts to help thru the day would be appreciated as well.

    Just wanted to say welcome. I do not know if you have seen our 50+ forum here. That may be a great place to read and post. Also try to post in the induction forum and see if any friends pop up there.
    I hid things in the kitchen that I used to just pick up and eat because it was right there. Like granola bars and cookies and stuff. If you have a problem food I would certainly clear that one.
    We had a couple of travelling threads lately you may do a search and see if you can find one. A small cooler is great if you drive or take the train. I like to bring meat left overs, cut up veggies, boiled eggs, revolution rolls (if I have to buy burgers) when I am on the road. Do you have to travel far?

      Hi Bristol. I am also (originally) a PA girl and am in your age range (4. I love this way of eating! I am losing slowly but steadily and feel better than I have in years! Wishing you great success!

        Thank you both. We went thru the fridge and the kitchen last night. I do find myself planning a "last meal" and I totally am freking out about no 2% milk for a while. Im a grownup who considers milk yummy. Sigh, I want the induction phase to work and then we will work on owl.....

          Have your milk now. Thing is on Atkins I think most of us change our food preferences (after all they are just habits) and we are completely fine. So no need to worry too much.

            Welcome to the board, Bristol!

            You will find all the support and encouragement you need here and it comes from people of all ages.

            We do have different hormones at our age than the younger ones and it is addressed in some of the forums so just look around and you will find all sorts of helpful threads.
