  • I'm new!

    Hi I'm new here to the forum and to the Atkins diet. I will be starting tomorrow. For me it's a matter of losing the last 20 pounds! I hope I will be able to achieve that in a month before summer officially starts. Any tips??

      Welcome and the only tips I can offer you are to stick to the induction and explore the exercise challenges..they're great!

        Hi, and welcome. I am sure you will be successful if you follow the plan, but I think you are going to be frustrated if you expect 20 pounds off in a month. That is a totally doable number if you are severely overweight but since you only have 20 pounds to lose, it is unlikely it will come off that quickly. I would expect that 5-6 pounds is more likely for one month, maybe 8 or 9 if you are a quick loser. But that would still be 8 less than now, so its all good. I figured you are better off knowing this now rather than be frustrated later.
