    I'm new here. My girlfriend and I joined today and I believe she will be making her post soon.

    My start weight was 309 and I'm currently 290.4 according to our health-o-meter scale. We are keeping an Excel sheet on my MacBook that we update each week. My goal weight is 185 so I have a ways to go but I feel confident I can do it. My father has used this diet successfully and looking at all the before/after pics on here gives me hope!

    Wish us luck were happy to be part of the Atkins community now.

      Welcome to the board, Deezy!

      It's great that you are doing the diet with someone else because that support can be invaluable.

      Be sure to read the book, drink your water, eat your veggies and get some exercise. This is the best diet there is and you should see great results if you stick with it.

        Welcome, deezy ... awesome that you have a built-in support system; you'll find a lot of support and great information here, as well .... don't be a stranger!

            I'll ask her to read the book I'm not that great at reading books like that. I have however printed out all the info/food lists/phase info from the atkins website and read that. Were going to start walking again at the park across the street from our condo.

            I'm very good at sticking with a plan so I think I will have great success with this. I will update my weight ticker weekly and once the weight is off I'll post before pics we did take them last night though.

              Thanks Floodette. I'll be around I'm addicted to forums once I join but usually there car forums haha. This of course is more important than a car but will go hand in hand. Once I loose the weight I can fit into the next car I want to buy
