  • Hello!

    Hi!
My name is Afshan and I've been on atkins for 49 days and still hanging on! I started this, because i have been eating profusely without thinking how to stop. I had a baby, and i put almost 50 or 55 lbs because of that. I think it's time for me to be healthy! I started at the weight of 202 lbs, now I'm 176!! I lost 26 lbs!! Now, my weight goal is 150 lbs... so I still have to lose another 26 lbs!! Wish me luck!!

What can I do to avoid stalls???
    Thanks!!

    Re: Hello!

Hi Afshan, I am very glad for you that you have already lost half your weight, but rather than worrying about stalls you need to start moving up the rungs (you will still lose) so that you will be successful at keeping the weight off once you reach goal. If you stay on Induction till the end, you will not learn the things you need to know about which foods trigger you, which foods, stall you, which foods cause you to gain, etc. and you will be much more likely to be returning here a year or so from now having gained your weight back and more.

With only 26 pounds left to lose, you should be moving up a rung every couple of weeks and learning about the choices you will need to make in Maintenance.

    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

        Re: Hello!

        Welcome to the board, Afshan!

Congrats on your 26 lb. loss! That's great and shows you that you can do it!

Now just take your time and enjoy the process of learning what works for you and what doesn't so you never have that excess weight come back again.

        Good luck to you!
