  • 298.4 and timefor a change

    Hello All,

I am Cris and I am going to be successful with Atkins. I am298.4 and I promised myself that I would never go back to the Tracherous 300's. I was atmy highest 314 and I was successful at one time getting down to 280.

Now I have to get back on track. I have to focus on being healthy and I think that Atkins is going to be my way to do it.

I am looking to get any support I can and am willing to share my success with everyone. If it works for me, I will share it with you.
    Cris

"I am Cris and I am going to be successful with Atkins"...

That's right, Claim it!! In Sept '08, I weighed 298 lbs also. I restarted this woe on 9.2.08 ( I knew Atkins would work because I was on this plan in 2003 and successfully lost 50 lbs., unfortunately i thought I could go back to eating all the things that weren't good for me and gained it all back)I have since dropped 63 lbs. and I feel sooooo good. Be sure to view the recipe threads to get ideas on what to eat so that you don't get bored. This site has been a blessing for me and will be helpful on your journey. Good luck to you!
        age:32/F/Start date:9.02.08

(going to continue to work towards getting between 175lbs-180lbs)

                Welcome to the board, Cris!

Do you have the 2002 edition of the Dr. Aktins New Diet Revolution? It's the one we use here and it's a must read because it explains how and why the diet works.

                Good luck to you!

My dad was in the 320's a couple of years ago. He is now approaching the 230's through off and on low carb eating. Imagine what he could have done if he would have stuck to the plan the whole time. If you put your mind to it and stick with the plan it won't take long to reach your goals.

                      Hi blueberrylady,

I haven't gotten the book yet but I read it some years ago. I pretty much know how to get through Induction and I should have the book before that is over.
