Welcome pantera negra! Good to have you on board.
You won't regret hopping back on the Atkins wagon... and I bet that as soon as you see those lbs disappearing you'll begin to feel great about yourself.

Read all you can here - there's a wealth of info - post lots and stick to the plan to the letter... a good recipe for success!

    Happy Atkineering!

        HI
        thank you for your support
today is my 08th day,so i am on my second week..i have not lost much on week 1 is this normal?
I am afraid i might have gone overboard on teh cheese and on the splenda...i hate coffe and tea with no sweetner ,but i also think its was because of my time of the month, i get bloated and ill...oh i dont know...but i am hoping week 2 will bring good news as i am cutting on splenda and cheese

        hope it helps

        xxx

Re: Hello I am a newbie

You are wise to cut the coffee and splenda. The sweetner allowance is three portions (a teaspoon) per day in total, and coffee and tea should preferably be decaf as caffeine causes many to come a cropper.

TOM can certainly cause havoc with the number on the scale. Don't worry... give it a little time, and evaluate after a few weeks. If you stick with it, and do it right, you'll be fine.

            Thanks...felling more positive!!!
only one spoon per day ?/...oh my gosh ...i read somewhere on this site about 6 pills equal 1 serving and 1 serving equalled 3 sachets.....is that wrong?
my tea and coffee is always decaff....but i can not drink it with no sweetner......

Re: Hello I am a newbie

Sorry... I put it badly. I meant that one serving is like the equivalent of one teaspoon of sugar... so you're allowed three servings; equiv to three teaspoons. At least that's how I've always interpreted it.

                    Hello Pantera

                    Welcome!

Congrats on the choice to eat well! Perhaps you can post a day's menu so the expert peeps here can advise on any products that may be stalling you.
Have you tried the ketostix at all? Do you still feel hungry? Have you measured yourself? questions, questions, questions....

Or alternatively, you could be one of these people who have a metabolism that works on a week-in-arrears system (like my mother!), whereby you'll notice it next week?
                    Fifth time's a charm...?

ooooh, that's making me fancy a nice omelette!

Now, I may be reading that wrong, but it looked like two meals for the whole day?? I'm by no means an expert but I think you're on the right lines with increasing your fat and calorie intake (maight as well take advantage of the fact that we don't count calories, eh?!) - 674 calories is extremely low (or is this only half a day or something.......?).

What do other people think of the menu?

                          Mmmmmmm...cheesy omelette.......... ;-P

Hmmmmm.... meats and fats would prob be the best way, though *cough* I admit I haven't brushed the dust off my Atkins book for a fair while...!! aaaah - let me have a think and i will endeavour to give you some ideas when i have brushed up on measurements ;-)
Other Atkinsers: what do you think??
