  • Well, hello, hello again

    Hi everyone,

I guess my first post in a long time should be in here.

My name is Jim, I am an Atkins veteran who lost his way after a very stressful life event (a sick child). I struggled for a couple of years with multiple restarts but never found what I needed to do it again. So an 18 month, no restart tries, hiatus has again led me back to a place where I feel I am ready to do this again. Hopefully for a very long time.

A bit about me, I am a happily married father of five beautiful (and healthy, finally) children. I got laid off about 18 months ago right at the beginning of the economic downturn. So after a bunch of unsuccessful job searching I started my own business. I originally lost over 70 pounds and kept most of it off for a while but it began to creep back up. But I have never come within ten pounds of my original high weight. I am a former moderator of this very bulletin board, and I know how integrally important this board was to my original successes. I don't know how much I will be around, but I will when I can. I will attempt to motivate others with my successes as I draw motivation from other people's successes.

I'll see you around the board.
    Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?
