    We are all here for the same reason so I'm not ashamed to be on a diet in this setting. I don't think it's a bad thing to diet, but I certainly hear lots of discouragement from my peers. I should have taken the advice I was given and just kept it to myself. Hopefully here, I can discuss my concerns and questions without judgment.

    Absolutely, I've found everyone on here to be knowledgeable and very helpful during my stay. Welcome aboard!
    What I do:
    Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
    At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
    2 filtered containers water/day
    Daily salads/veggies


    Goals:

    Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
    Workout in a XXXL shirt
    - DONE!
    Workout in a XXL shirt
    Workout in a XL shirt
    270 on the scales

      This is the only source of support for many of us so you're not alone in that! You will find all the support and encouragement you need here so post often and let us know how you are doing.

        Welcome!

        One tip I've found that works is to not tell people that I'm "dieting". If asked, I simply explain that I've cut out sugar and reduced my carb intake. If they're genuinely interested, you can then tell them all about the Atkins experience. It really reduces the un-informed and un-requested advice.
