:wave Hi from Big Sky Country, Montana
I'm a 50 something grandma who has been fighting my weight for over 30 years and I'm tired of yo-yo diets. I've been on Weight Watchers (twice) and for the past year I was on LA Weight Loss and I lost about 3 pounds a week until I got serious about a good workout at the gym. The scale started going in the WRONG dirction. The poeple, althought very nice, could not offer me any help or encouragement but kept telling me I wasn't following the plan correctly. In a last minute of despreation, I decided to give Atkins a try. Why? My oldest daughter has been on Atkins for over a year now and has lost 95 pounds! I'm very proud of her and I figured, why not. So here I am, on day 2 and by next week I hope to see a change on the scale.
I have a trainer at the gym who asures me that I am doing everything right, and not to give up. That one day I will see a big change in my body.
I do weight training 3 days a week and water aerobics 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) and a spin class 2 days a week (Tue and Thurs). I am getting stronger, more flexible and feel better over all. I know I am converting fat to muscle. But I really get despressed when I step on the scale and I've gained 3 pounds. I need support and I hope I can find it here.
My interest are my grandkids, riding my motorcycle and camping and fishing with my best friend, my husband.
