  • Hi newly started on Atkins

    Hi, I just started my induction phase of Atkins yesterday. So far, no weird carb cravings or anything. I did Atkins a couple of years ago, but I was 14 years old. As I went through puberty my weight fluctuated up and down for a while. I'm a 6'1 female with a lot of muscle on my body. But I want to burn the extra fat off and start body building. I used to be an olympic weightlifter (sport name), trained 6 days a week, and competed in the US and Canada.

    Now I'm looking to get my weight and health back to a good point now that I'm 20 years old and half way through university. When I graduate I want to be slim, trim, and healthy so I can start my life with no regrets. Then on to law school. If I get the ball rolling and get healthy now, I will save myself any agony later on in life when it's harder to lose weight and regain control of myself.

    So this is day 2 for me! Wish me luck and I am very motivated by all the posts I have read on this forum. I will post my before and during pics in about 30 days. Good luck to all of you!

    Welcome. You are so wise to get this under control now rather than when you are older. I am no olympic weight lifter but I do lift regularly and have no problems working out while on this WOE. Wishing you a productive start.
