Hi all! I received an email directing me to introduce myself, so I will---I've been lurking here a few days and you all seem to be really genuine people and I'd love to join you all.
I don't have a tremendous amount of weight to lose, approximately 12 pounds, but those 12 pounds have crept up over the past 3 years despite many efforts on my part to stay stable. I've exercised regularly for years, I lift moderately heavy and enjoy different forms of cardio but I'm no cardio bunny. I'm definitely hypoglycemic, and I think therein my problem lies. After splitting a few pairs of jeans recently and realizing it's either nip this in the bud or buy new bigger sizes, I'm excited to begin Atkins.
With that said, I unofficially started Atkins 4 days ago, but at the time had not done much research and thought it was basically eat tons of meat and cheese. Which is what I did the first two days and felt like crap lol. After a lot of reading here, I revamped things and made another visit to the grocery store and am feeling much enouraged now. I would say that yesterday was my first official induction day, but I don't totally disregard the first 2 days since at least I de-carbed myself.
So as of now my fitday ratios are telling me 63% fat/35% protein/1% carbs so I do believe I'm getting more on track, and ketostix are pink, so things are clicking into place. that's all for now, look forward to reading more on here!
