hi and welcome Laura. The best way to find out about the Atkins plan is to purchase the 2002 edition of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. The difference between this and other "diets" is that this isn't a "diet" -- it's a lifetime way of eating. Good luck.

You have found the right diet this time because Atkins is the best there is and the easiest to maintain because the foods are so appealing.

It works. Sometimes I find it strange myself but it works. Good for you reading up on if first. There are many misconceptions about the Atkins diet out there. Hope to see you around.
