  • I'm back

    Hi everyone,

Some of you may remember me from a few years back when I was really active on the boards. I dropped off the map after I finished my schooling and started life as a (sedentary) professional. I've always had the low-carb and more or less Atkins mentality in my absence, but dropping off my exercise really hurt me, but I've been a couple months back on stricter eating and a solid couple of weeks with vigorous exercise and loving the results.

I don't weight myself anymore, so I've removed the old stats, but I'm feeling great and hanging in there.

Focusing a lot these days on eating slower and stopping eating sooner (intuitive eating). It's amazing how much less food I need than I think I do when I actually take my time, use smaller plates, dish myself small portions, etc.

Anyway, just thought I'd poke my head in and say hello if anybody remembered me from before. I got crazy busy and lost focus on myself.

    I hope everyone's having a good day.

No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

    Vigilance, not perfection.

Welcome back. I don't remember you so you were probably before I joined. I think I would remember that face Intuitive eating sounds interesting. I have seen that phrase around but not really looked into it much. (Maybe because I am a bit scared of eating - I need to watch my eating but I guess there is something more to it than that)

welcome back -- so happy you made the choice to come back to the best WOE on the planet.

I agree with you about using smaller plates - I also put my portion on my plate at the stove before I go to the table...when my plate is empty (if I do finish everything) that's the end - nothing more for me. I have found this is an easier way around over sized portions on my plate. I was never a fast eater so slowing down has made my family even more disgusted (good for them) with me because no one leaves the table until everyone is finished eating.

Exercise is a wonderful part of my day now -- a few months ago I huffed & puffed to the corner not I walk several miles at a time but my favorite thing to do is I ride 20 miles on my stationary bike daily - it's my time and I enjoy it.

Good luck to you -- I'm glad you won't be a slave to the scale (evil nasty piece of metal crap!) - good for you!
