  • <--Newbie (still shiny and unbent)

I was diagnosed with Type II at the end of April and told to drop my carbs and my pounds. I came home from the hospital and emptied my kitchen of all of the wonderful junk for which I had actually shopped. I bought MANY books. I am still learning. I live in Wyoming and recently went on a drive about up Sheridan way and on to the Little Big Horn. I love a challenge and I am pleased to say that I had no trouble while eating out to say things like "cheeseburger, no bun and green beans instead of fries, please" or "cheese omelet with sliced tomatoes instead of hash browns, please". I was surprised to find myself craving a good old fashioned tuna stuffed tomato. I have joined our hospital's health club - picture an egg in a red darning sock on a treadmill. I am very glad to find these boards.

    Hello!!

        Hi Zizzy,

I'm new to the forums, too, although I have been low carbing for quite awhile now. I just want to say I think, given your great attitude, you will be a huge success.

I am looking forward to reading about your progress.

Hi Ziz, I love not having the after lunch slump and sleepiness I used to have. The stabilization of blood sugar makes you feel so much better all day long. Welcome to ABDD
