    Hi, I'm Kinsey. I'm a 22 year old married mom of one beautiful little girl and I'm incredibly unhappy with my weight.
    Before my pregnancy, I weighed appx 140 lbs. I weighed in at 196 at a doctor's appointment for an ear infection last week.
    I'm 5'2", so my short stature doesn't help my extra weight look any more appealing.

    I just started weaning myself off of caffiene today (I was a severe Pepsi addict and I quit cold turkey), and I have been doing portion controlled meals with the acceptable foods listed in the introduction phase of the Atkins diet as well as trying to drink the required amount of water. I was able to successfully complete all of the above tasks today, so I think tomorrow will be a good day as well.
    I wanted to give myself a chance to get used to the idea of what would be going on during my diet, so I'll officially be starting the true to it's word Atkins diet on Friday.

    136 - No longer overweight (yes, I know this is lower than my goal weight)

      Good for you for facing the problem and taking action instead of melting into a helpless puddle. You're on the road toward being happy about your weight again.

      You have found the right place and a terrific way of dealing with the issue. You'll find plenty of help and encouragement here and a lot of rejoicing with you when you reach your goal.

        Hi and welcome,

        you sound just like me height,weight etc and i was absolutly addicted to pepsi and coke i used to crave it,

        stick with this diet as i have no more cravings for sugar,and maybe every now and again i make chocolate bark from beowolfs videos and a tiny bit does the trick.

        good luck with it and everybody is so helpful on here and supportive.
        Start = 210 lbs
        current = 195 lbs
        goal = 168 lbs

        it is so true if the scale doesnt move:YOU ARE LOSING INCHES.
