  • I'm new!

    Hi everyone!! Today is the first day I am starting atkins! I am currently 168.5 lbs and I am 5'1. It has been pretty rough being so short and staying healthy and fit. My goal weight is 125. I did atkins about 6 years ago and lost 25 lbs, however I have since gained it back I loved it back then and I am ready to get back on track and stay on track!

    Well I didn't have this support group back then so hopefully this can help me now!!

    Welcome Hillary.
    I am short too. I never think of myself as short though. Other people are just tall.
    Welcome back to Atkins. Are you familiar with the 2002 version of the Atkins diet? It is the one we use on this board. It may be a bit different from what you did last time. Look into the FAQ forum and read some of the stickies there (such as rules of induction and what foods can you eat on induction) to find out what the 2002 is all about.

      Hi and welcome back to Atkins Hillary -- Liv gave you some great pointers and I hope you go check out the Induction forum for all the information there.

      There are some wonderful recipe sites we use that will help keep you from getting bored with "the same old thing" for your meals - check them out. Also since you already were on the Atkins before you qualify for the STAC (second time around club) -- check them out also.
      Make sure you are drinking at least 64 ounces of pure water daily and exercising daily (starting today) -- that is all part of the plan, not just the food! Good luck to you.

        Thank you to both of you! I have become familiar with the 2002 program. It's been so long since I did aktins that I feel like I am a "newbie" to the whole process. I really forgot how to do it! I am sooo happy that I found this board!

              Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!! I am on day 6 and have lost 5.5lbs!!! I feel fastastic too!
