    Hi, my name is Allison. I started the diet and ran across this site which i think i will find to be a HUGE help. I am so tired of being on and off low fat diets which never work, and need a change. I am young, in my early twenties and I do not want to go through my twenties being as unhappy as i am right now. I have tried many many times on other diets, even succeeded at some, but only for a short time. I'm finding atkins to be a diet more realistic to live with everyday rather than eating a frozen dinner and those 100 Calorie snacks for the rest of my life. This is it. I need to do something and I hope I can find the support I need here to stick to it! Best of luck to all of you!

    Glad you found us. How are things going? Are you enjoying Atkins so far?
    Motivation is going to take you a long way and help you over the humps so it is a good thing you wrote down why you want to do this.

        Hello Allison! Welcome. You are so smart to get a handle on this now. I waited til I was forty and it was MUCH harder. I have been low carbing for five years (with a few lapses) and can honestly say that I think it is the only thing I could have done to sustain my losses AND be happy with what and how I eat. I am healthier than I have ever been in my life. If you stay committed it will work for you too.
