  • I'm back!

About 5 years ago, I was a member on ADBB, and I was successful at losing 60lbs, and kept it off for about a year before I allowed myself to go back to my old way of eating. I have gradually gained back about 30 pounds over the last few years. The first time (5 years ago), it was very easy for me to stick to the Atkins WOE.

Now, I've tried for about a year now to do induction again, but I can't seem to stick to it this time. I recently asked myself what was different this time - and I realized that I havent logged into ADBB for the social support...

    So... HELLO AGAIN, everyone!

    Re: I'm back!

hi and welcome back Jeff --- you know how this works so along with the support of everyone here I hope you can do it again.

You may want to check out the STAC (second time around club) since you now qualify for that.....also there are plenty of challenges which just started at the first of the month you may be interested in.

Eat acceptable food list foods, drink plenty of pure water & exercise -- you'll be at goal before you know it.

Again welcome back and good luck!!

        Re: I'm back!

I actually already re-posted my intro on STAC. As for whats holding me back: this time around: I try induction for 3 or 4 days before I start to get cravings for sandwiches with bread... then I have "just one" bad meal, which becomes the excuse to eat bad the rest of the day, then I get into the mind set of "ok... ill try the WOE again next week..."

Ok, so shoot for one perfect day, then tell yourself "If I resisted yesterday I can do it today" and keep building on that. Also, read my tag line and post it on your fridge.

Have you tried to make revolution rolls?

                Re: I'm back!

if you can get through a couple days without bread you'll be able to make it. The revolution rolls might be your ticket to "bread" -- I found them too eggy for my taste so I have learned to wrap lettuce around what I'm eating as "bread".

Here are recipe sites many of us use here -- you'll find plenty of good things to eat here.
