  • Hello all!

Well i started a low carb diet by accident over the weekend when everywhere ran out of bread buns for BBQ!

Ordered the book other day, been reading on here since!

Just finished my 2nd day, lost 3Ibs so far and went and joined a new gym tonight again

I have previously lost 3.5 stone from calorie controlled diet and lots of exercise, but seemed unable to shift problem areas.

Been drinking 3 liters of water a day for about a year now, so that part was easy.

Strange how they say its water weight you loose first, because i have been measuring my H 20 levels and mine has gone up a percentage from 55 to 56...hmmm body fat down from 24 to 23.3 in just 2 days on proper diet, seems this diet should hopefully suit me.

Thanks all to everyones posts i have read over last few days!

    Re: Hello all!

Welcome Rizel. Glad you are finding the board helpful. Probably your water is already sorted out because you have been drinking it all along. Lots of folks start drinking water for the first time when they do this WOE.

By accident really. That was quite interesting. I think I have not come across that before.

              Re: Hello all!

thanks all for your kind words.

Today i have had no energy whatsoever, i do a manual job and after an hour i just wanted to go home!

I stuck to the plan though, scrabbled eggs for breakfast, tune mayo one and a half cups of lettuce\cuber and cheese and plenty of water, wast'nt hungry just had zero engery, very strange feeling as i'm not tired as i need sleep!

Oh well, shall see how feel tomorrow, pasta free lasagna for tea, bloody gorgeous!

                Re: Hello all!

You may be transitioning to ketosis. We usually call that the induction flue. I did kind of try to time mine for the weekend so I could relax through it. Hang in there. It will turn around.

                  Re: Hello all!

I agree. After the first week of induction I had a LOT of energy and still do (unless I cheat and eat something sugary)!

                    Re: Hello all!

I feel 100% better than yesterday, i was really getting worried by how i was feeling.

Today i was awake and ready to go at 7am, this never happens!

I like to keep a check of my stats every few days (i know some people think his is bad) to check i'm losing right stuff on diets, i was absolutely shocked.

On Monday morn i weighed exactly 15 stone, 24%BF and 55% H2O levels

                    today (Friday) i was at 14.6, 22%BF and 56.5 H20 level

i can not believe it, to me this is shocking half a stone gone in 4 days.

Book came today, so shall start reading

                    Thanks all

On my 9th. day of induction, I felt like I haven't since I was a child.

                        It's great!
