  • Back AGAIN... for the last time!

    Hi everyone,
I was pretty regular on the board about a year and a half ago, got myself all the way down to 175 pounds (lost about 50) and then fell off and have gained it all back and more. I'm at the point of considering surgery, but figured I would give Atkins another shot. This time I have a supportive significant other in my corner who would like to lose 35-50 pounds himself. I started on Monday, and I was down 5.8 pounds this morning. I have taken measurements and before photos that I will post somewhere down the line. Here's to a successful and final journey into this WOE.

Re: Back AGAIN... for the last time!

Hi Courtney, welcome back. Hopefully you are looking at this as a lifestyle change that is a permanent shift in your life. If you look at it as a change in the way you live then you will have a better shot at keeping it off, but you already know this. Here's hoping that this time it sticks.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

Re: Back AGAIN... for the last time!

I have been there as well as many others - in 2007 i went from 210lbs to 165lbs from jan 1 - sometime in aug when i stopped (i have no clue why i stopped) but from then on i gained again and went back up to 200lbs - i said to myself, this is ridiculous - just remember how good it felt to be thinner than fatter and that is the strength and motivation you need to think about because food tastes good at that moment but then goes away that fast, leaving you wanting more later on and unsatisfifed - that is not the full satisfaction you deserve or want - it feel 100 times better knowing you are looking and feeling good than any food in the world - good luck in your journey and know you are definitely not alone - we all go through this some time or another but it's nice to know that now there's support out there - good luck girl

welcome back -- you know qualify as a member of the STAC (second time around club) -- check them out for some great support and daily roll call.

Your sig says OWL Rung 1 did you start there or with induction? Make sure you are eating foods on the acceptable food list and nothing else (no shakes or bars)....drinking at least 64 ounces of water and exercising.

Congrats on the significant other -- the two of you can go through this journey together! Best of luck to you.
