  • Atkins Redo...

I'm back on Atkins - the only plan that ever worked (well) for me! I had great success about five years ago - then had two children. I re-started about five weeks ago, and have lost about 13 lbs already! While I have quite a bit to lose (over 100 lbs) I plan to focus on the small goals and how I feel. I have so much more energy already! I started using this board for inspiration, so I thought I'd participate more actively.

welcome back svelte2b -- you know the drill but just make sure you are only eating food from the acceptable food list - make sure most of your 20 net carbs daily come from veggies, drinking at least 64 ounces of pure water daily and are starting an exercise program if you aren't doing one already.

      good luck to you.

Thanks. I'm working on doing better on my water intake. I do like water, just could drink more! I got back into more exercise and am keeping up with the program there. I will up the frequency/intensity as I'm able. When I was on Atkins before I wasn't on a message board. I can feel the support already!

This board definitely helps to buoy you up when you need support and kick you butt when you need a scolding. LOL It keeps you accountable and answers those questions that you an't find in the book. Sometimes it is just there so you don't feel alone. Glad you found us.

              Welcome to the board, Svelte!

Check out the Century Club for support along the way too because they have some great people who are very nice.
