  • New to the Forum...

Hi everyone. I'm Julie...33 (til next week!) year old female on week 6 of Atkins. I am gettin ready to redo Induction...and probably stay on it a bit longer this time.

So far, have lost 7 pounds and close to 10 inches. AND...as much as I wish it was coming off faster, I surely didn't put this weight on overnight...so I'm NOT giving up! At some point, the inches will have to convert to pounds...lol.

Joined a gym and got into a great schedule of cardio, yoga, and pilates.....and then the gym closed. GRRR....sooo....have been trying out a new one...with a pool! Swim laps rotating one lap with kickboard, one with leg floatie (so you only use arms), and one without assistance until I do anywhere between 10 and 15 laps (usually takes a while). I was a great swimmer when I was younger...seems to be coming back to me, but I'm not as fast as I used to be!! Going to try a water aerobics class tonite.

So, I'm off to figure out the signature thing and all that great stuff...

Looking forward to meeting lots of people and finding a great support network!
    Julie

Hi Julie, Welcome to the boards! I would bet you're a little frustrated but the body will do what it wants - as long as your following the plan, you're in good shape. Sounds like an intensive workout schedule, should get some more inches off!

      Good luck!

Hi why are you restarting induction? To get the pounds to continue to come off you may want to move up to OWL Rung 1 - that is adding an additional 5 new carbs of veggies daily. Many people have better luck loosing once they move up - I know I did.

Good luck on your continued weight loss
