  • New Member and struggling, help!!!

Hi i'm new to this and about ready to scream. I'm 28 yrs. old and been in induction for 11 days now when I started I was 150.1 lbs and now I'm only down one freakin pound I weighed in this morning and I was only 149.1 aaaahhh. Its driving me crazy. And its like I'm stuck I weighed last week as well and still was exactly the same as this morning.. I exercise 4 days a week which I mtn. bike for at least an hour. and do low weights for about 30 mins 3 days a week. Here's and example of what I eat maybe I'm just really doing something wrong.

1 cup of coffee with 1 tbs of heavy cream

Breakfast 2 eggs scrambled with 2 tbs of butter and 2 slices of bacon

Lunch a can of tuna with mayo

    Snack a string cheese

Dinner a hamburger patty with a few grilled onions and a slice of cheese and mayo and mustered to dip...

and I drink at least 125 oz of water a day

I also cut out all artifical sweetners and limit my caffenine to one cup of coffee...

I feel really good and my pants are a loosening up and I'm not hungry at all.

I hope someone can give me some insight into what i'm doing wrong, I really appreciate it..

Where are your veggies? Did you just forgot to write them down? You should have 3 cups of them during Induction, either 3 cups of salad vegetables (can be cooked), or 2 cups of salad vegetables and 1 cup of "other" vegetables.

Caffeine could be affecting your results too. There's no way to know this unless you eliminate it for at least a week to see how your weight loss rate changes.

You only have 10 lbs to lose, so 1 lbs is not bad. Someone with 100 lbs to lose may lose 10 lbs during Induction for a 10% loss. But for you, a 10% loss means 1 lbs out of those 10.

As Niko said, take body measurements and see how those change. If your pants are looser, that's what you want. I don't think the number on the scale is important as long as you fit into "those pants" or "that dress". Inches are often a better indicator of fat loss than the scale, as the latter does not differentiate between water/muscle/fat weight.

          You're welcome.

Many members actually lose weight better when eating veggies. Those are good for your health and you should keep them on the menu. Enter your menus in FitDay or something similar and check your macronutrients and the vitamins & minerals you are getting from food. Are you taking a multivitamin? Being deficient in some of these nutrients may slow down your weight loss, which is one of the reasons why veggies are important in your diet.
