  • second..fourth time around..but it's a new morning!

It's kind of embarrassing to admit to myself that I've been losing control on what I firmly believed would FINALLY work for me. On January 2009, I was seriously committed on finally sticking to Atkins (because it HAS worked for me in the past), but this time I had already read the book, I was working out...doing everything possible!...and then life came along, and I lost my job..moved to another state with my fiancee (from NYC to Vermont! yes..it's like Green Acres!), got extremely homesick, missed my family and friends, and food has been my only comfort...so...5 months later, at 23 yrs old, I gained about 10 pounds and feel terrible...ironically, I check my e-mail this week and got one of those "We miss you at ADBB" messages and it inspired me to start this over again!!!! What will be different this time? I don't know...I've been really committed before and let myself get lost in the shuffle, but I am getting married next year, and I've been having health issues as a result of my gain weight [PCOS, low iron levels, very very lethargic]...I'm tired of feeling like this...sooo here I go again

    Blessings and Love!

Welcome back. I think LIFE has a tendency to derail us just when we finally feel we are getting it together. Glad you found your way back.

Why did you leave me here in NYC... I hate it, 7 years ago I moved here to be with DH from TN (yes... green acres where I lived)

You will be different. Each time we try we learn something else, and if you look back at why you stopped last time you will see why and you have to have a new game plan incase those feelings (loneliness, boredom, ect) comes back , how will you deal with those feelings?

Losing weight is one of the best things for PCOS... also just imagine you defiantly want to loose weight before having kids b/c it does take a toll on your body... just ask me I was blessed by God for having 2 kids and weighing 370+ when the first was born and 390+ when the second was born... so I know about blessing and I also know before I could carry my weight and get out and go, always an active person, did marching band in highschool, ect... but once the kids came.. my body has slowed down and emotional that has drained me.

It is okay if it takes me a little longer to get there, besides this is where I'm going to stay forever and that is a really long time!!!
