  • New to board - already 40% lost!

Hi, I'm Eliza and I live in South Florida. My BF and I started Atkins in mid. January '09 and have seen great results so far! I've lost 40, he's lost 70! We both do a little exercise, me mostly on the wii fit and wii active. During the day, I mostly sit at the computer doing architectural drawings. During the weekends I sit in front of a torch melting glass into beads for jewelry. So, I sit A LOT! Years of sitting had me in size 20 and 22 and we finally said enough is enough! As of today, I am down 41lbs to 189 and this past week I had to buy new jeans and they are size 14! I must say everyone's stories and before/during/after photos are an added inspiration. I posted mine as well in that same section.

My goal is to lose 100lbs. That would put me at 130. I don't think I've been that low since middle school (I was always a little heavy). I have set a mini goal of 165 for Christmas. 165 is the weight at which I am no longer Obese in terms of BMI. I only get to visit my family up North at Christmas, so I want to surprise them with a 65lb. loss. It's only 24lbs away and I will try my hardest.

I look forward to meeting you all and reading stories and recipes!

My before and during photos are here --- http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...1lbs-down.html

Hi Eliza and welcome to ADBB. You are doing fantastic so far! I think your goal is doable and I wish you a very happy Christmas with your new body--but you better make sure you can return any Christmas gifts. If you surprise your family anything they buy you is going to be wayyyy too big! LOL

      GOAL ONE 228
      (take 2)
      GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
      GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
      FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

        Thank you Jill and LRKO!
As for the gifts, I am always very specific with my lists, so my family knows to wait until I give my list before they buy anything! LOL! But, I'm also picky about clothes (even when I wasn't this big) so they all know better than to buy any. But at least this year I won't get any Lane Bryant gift cards!
