  • I am back!

    So I am not new to low-carb, but I am back again trying to lose the last stubborn 15-20 pounds that I want to lose. I did low-carb several years ago as a lifestyle and managed to lose twenty five pounds safely. I have managed to keep the weight off by having a stable diet and work out routine. I am a runner and just started marathon trying this past week so I figure now is the time to make changes in my diet! I am starting induction tomorrow and hope that I can lose this stubborn weight!

    good luck and welcome back. I wish you much luck with your eating and also marathon training.

    Drink at least 64 ounces of pure water daily and eat the proper foods along with your workouts and you should have no trouble getting rid of the extra pounds.

      Hi Addy, welcome to ADBB. The last 20 are the hardest but if you do the diet cleanly you will be successful.

        Thanks everyone! So yesterday was the first day and it was a piece of cake! Today is the first day of a work week which will be hard, but I am feeling optimistic! I weighed 131 yesterday when I woke up and this morning I weighed 129.4 - whoop whoop!

          don't weigh yourself everyday - you'll set yourself up for a fall when the day comes that you gained a pound back....it hapens to so many of us I usually just tell the new members to stay off the scale until at least the end of the first week but more importantly the end of induction -- that's the BIG number you're actually looking for.

            True - I am just a compulsive weight taker! It is built into my normal routine! So far I am down 3 pounds!
