  • Hello Everyone

    Hello my name is Lindsey or Lindz. I am new to this board. I was on Atkins for about a month back in Feb and had lost 24lbs, but I went back to my old eating habits from about the end of March till June 15th....I gained all of the weight back. I re-started June 15th at 220lbs. As of this morning I am 209lbs. My realistic goal is the 140-150 range, my far fetched goal is 120-130

    you know you have to make a commitment that this is a lifetime change or you will continue to gain and loose - each time is harder to loose!

    Good luck staying on track this time. Join some challenges to keep yourself accountable. Make sure you drink at least 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), start exercising today and eat only acceptable food list items.

          Drinking all that water will be one of my biggest challenges. I am awful I drink more coffee than water. But I do hope that this board will help

            I switched to half caf and half decaf to help me wean off. I still have one cup of real Joe in the morning. Can't seem to give it up. If you keep sipping, the water goes down easier and in a couple of weeks you get used to it and even want more of it. (I know, hard to believe now) If you can afford it, the best decaf I have found is Green Mountain Columbian decaf--its the only one I don't mind drinking but its not cheap so I drink water unless I really need an after dinner coffee.

              There is a monthly water challenge where you pledge the amount of pure water you'll drink daily (64 oz minimum) - you go and post when you've finished your pledge amount daily -- it helps keep you motivated when you are in a group of people doing the same thing.
