  • Back again after a month off

Hi, I have been doing Atkins since Sept. 2004 and took the last month off from low carbing. Boy, I did not feel good and was hungry all the time. I gained 4 lbs. back but I am on day 2 and have sinced lost 1-1/2 lbs. I am glad to be back. ~~Linda - WA state

Welcome back pjade1. I've heard from many people who agree with you that when you quit the WOE, you start to feel miserable and gain weight back. The best thing to do is to devise a plan for times when things come up in your life -- so that instead of going off plan, you can deal with situations and will still be able to stay on Atkins.

I've got emergency recipes available in case I need to make pizza, pasta, or cakes (sweets). That way, I can participate in any activity that might otherwise tempt me to quit, I can prepare an Atkins friendly version.

Glad you've come back to join us!!

          Welcome back Linda.

You can do this, just remember how lousy you felt the next time you want to stray.
