  • I'm Not Really Paula Deen

But I could give her a run for the money with my butter, cream and mayo usage.

    Hi, my name is Paula.
I am 39, and been significantly overweight since I was 32.
    In 2002, I weighed 160 lbs.
In 2003 I climbed the scales to 180.
    In 2004 I hit 200.
In 2006 I hit 228 and found out my husband is in love with a stripper "Because you let yourself go"
In 2007 I lost to 192, but got heartbroken by a online friend (yes it happens) and regained, but I don't think the regain was entirely emotional. Just lazy, and into ramen noodles too much.
So here it is June of 2009. I weighed 226 lbs this past Saturday. Started Induction this past Sunday, and as of today (6/25) I am down to 221.

So I am from the deep humid south. I love walks on the beach, my kitty cats Sampson and Delilah, and my kiddos.

My first goal is to get back under 200. My ultimate goal is to hit 150. See ya along the way.

You're not Paula. Darn - I really like her. I love her recipes with tons of butter and yummy stuff. Is her drawl authentic?

OK enough about that Paula. Welcome to you. Sounds like you are doing well making that scale move down already.

hi and welcome -- you're going to love the way you'll be eating on the Atkins plan...you can have butter and greens, fried chicken -- but it's all good and you will loose weight.

Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/

Make sure you drink at least 64 ounces of water daily (nothing added - just water) - exercise starting today and take a good supplement daily. Don't cheat yourself or the plan - it was written specifically to help us loose weight, there are no shortcuts to get to your goal, it will take time and work - good luck!! We follow the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) - get a copy to give yourself the edge to win your weight loss fight.
