    Hi All:
New to this forum.I restarted Atkins 4/13/09 and have lost 12 pounds so far.It just seems to be taking forever this time.I did Atkins back in 1999 and lost about 25 pds within 6 months.I bought a Wii fit and today I got on and it said my real age was 58 yrs old.I'm 52,I was so upset. My hubby was 39yrs and he really is 58!! I have alot of work to do.

52 is a tough time to lose. Your hormones make it almost impossible to lose. I lost 16 since March and that is with lots of exercise. I was recently stuck for about 6 weeks. Its going to be slow. Sorry

    HW 298
    HW (this time) 248
    GOAL ONE 228
    (take 2)
    GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
    GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

12 lbs in 10 weeks is not bad --- that's ~1.2 lbs per week. If 10 years ago you lost 25 lbs in 6 months, that's 25 lbs in something like 25 weeks, so 1 lb per week. Your weight loss is at least the same now, if not faster. How much do you have to lose?

Can't wait to see your "Atkins made me X years younger" post! Happy losing!

Welcome to the boards, this is a great place for information, encouragement and advice!

Losing slow is still losing (everthing is easier when you're younger, isn't it?). The wii and other exercise will help too.

              Hi Lynnyrn,

I am new here as well, started June 21st. Only 4 lbs have decided to leave me!! I have read where people are losing much faster than that. I am 42 and I knew once I hit my 40's it was going to be tough, but come on!!

I wish you the best of luck, and me too, Lord knows I need it!
I have a new respect for Atkins' WOE and for those who have succeeded.

              Take care everyone,

              Michelle
