    Hi All
    Im 29 a mother of 2 and ive been strugling to take off th 50 pounds i gained with both my kids. Im excited and nervous but this time im really ready. I beleive the hardest part will be quitting my coffee in the am

    Giving up coffee is a tough one. I have to admit I still have a cup in the a.m. but have switched to decaf the rest of the day. If you haven't yet read the book, it is a tremendous help. Feel free to ask questions and be sure to visit frequently. It helps keep you motivated.

      People are so nice and helpful here. And I agree, giving up coffee is hard!

        thanks to all i am starting it today i had a good breakfast i just have a slight headache because of no cofee but im trying not to think about it.

          The headache will pass in a couple days (trust me - been there) You can take Tylenol or something like that to help relieve it. Don't take Excedrin or other medicines that contain caffeine tho - they'll help the headache, but you prob would have enjoyed the coffee more

              My wife is also 50 pounds overweight from kids, and I am hoping I will show her Atkins works on my body so she will use it as well.

                stay away from processed foods (like shakes and bars) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy.

                  Thanks guys Today is my second day and i cant believe my headache went away and i feel good today i keep looking at my food list to see if i messed up somewhere because i cant beleive im feeling this good on my second day i was expecting worse. Oh well im taking it regardless i just have to say i hope it keeps up like this
