  • Back again.....

My wife and I back here again after four years of eating improperly.... Our last experience with Atkins was very good after a 13 months I loss 65 lbs and my wife lost about the same so we are hoping we have just as good as results as last time. We are on day two and we are excersing in the morning as well. Need to some more looking around but we need some different ideas for dinners. Breakfast for us is no problem but the last two days for lunchs or should say after lunch I have been running to the bathroom....... Something isn't agreeing with me!

    Anyway enough from me.

Get a dehydrator and make carb free jerky. I love highly peppered brisket.Bolied eggs and pork skins tend to be very filling.Canned salmon and a little mayo. Can't go wrong with sardines. I can't handle tuna though.

      Hey Todd, welcome back!

Check out the 'whats for induction dinner tonight' thread - TONS of ideas in there. Also, Linda's recipe site is a life-saver

Your post-lunch issue may resolve itself in a few days - your body is (likely) reacting to the changes you are making...my first week & a half were fairly unpleasant , but I'm feeling great since!

Todd -- welcome back. I had the same problem my first week on Atkins....I spent more time in the bathroom than I did anywhere else!

Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet.

Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/

Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable.

Welcome to both of you, Todd!

It's so much easier when someone is dieting with you; it keeps both of you accountable and on track and since you both eat the same things, there are fewer temptations. I'm sure you will do just as well this time as you did before!
