    I am new here, looking for something to help this food addiction, and weight gain that I have experienced since going clean and sober. Thanks Randy

    Hi Randy! Do you have the Atkins book? Have you ever done Atkins before? The book is a really big help, but if not, all these posts have the phases, etc....Let us know! The food addiction stops after you're in ketosis...it's like magic...it stops cravings for alot of things!

        Randy, I think Atkins, done properly, will help immensely. Definitely get the book. You won't regret it.

                Atkins is much easier to do than stopping addictions (ex smoker & drinker here so believe me I know!!). Get the book so you can do the program properly -- eat only the foods listed on the acceptable food list....drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added) daily, exercise - start today!!! Take supplements to keep your vitamins and minerals level in your system....that's really the long & short of the plan...it's so easy to do.

                Check the recipe sites - they will help make wonderful meals that won't become boring...make sure you eat enough veggies....this isn't a protein only diet, we DO eat more than eggs, meat and cheese!!! Good luck.
