    Yep, they do. And I understand the late 50's thing. To avoid slips and cheats, I just keep telling myself that I know I have lots of cheats left in me, but I may only have one recovery with Atkins! In my years here, I have seen people come and go and I try to learn from them rather than cheat.

    Drink some water, take a walk ... get back into the swing of Atkins.

      JulieB, Hi, I know that so far, especially after bacon & egg breakfast, no cravings....thankgoodness, and lunch was leftover hamburger and lettuce (NO TORTILLA,LOL) and no cravings..in my Atkins bookNewDietRR 1999, the Dr had mentioned many ways to avoid cravings, but I was so happy I didn't have any today. And Yes, IrishIrish, like you said, we have plenty of time LATER, but now must focus on staying on track! This is my 2nd time on Atkins (1st in 99/2000) but I am really determined because it works. I just never practiced the OWL and kept increasing my time on induction..this time, I plan to be more structured and follow the plan as written....I hope!! I really like all the feed back, 'cause that's how we learn! And I took my 2 mi walk today and so far have had 7 glasses of water!!! Back on track!!! Thank you guyz!!

        Kathy, try to get your hands on the 2002 version because there are substantial differences from the earlier book. Lacking that, then go to the OWL threads and familiarize yourself with the stickies there because you will be able to see what the Rungs are all about.

          Thank you Jill, I will definately check out the threads. I also have the Atkins for Life Book, and believe me, I noticed a HUGE difference in the menu's/foods, etc! What a difference!
