hi Everyone, My name is Sheila and I'm 55 years old. This is my second time on Atkins. 5 years ago for my 50th birthday I had lost 52# doing Atkins. I looked good and felt great. I kept the weight off for over 2 years. Unfortunatley I got hurt at work and had to have knee surgery. The surgery did not give me a complete recovery and so no more exercising. As I had a job requiring me to stand for 10 hours a day I resigned my position. Needless to say I gained back all the weight and a few more. I have now restarted a busines I had many years ago and as I am my own boss I can sit down when I need to. It is still hard for me to exercise though. I have recently started riding bike. So far I can do that on the flat with no additional pain to my knee. When I was on Atkins before I did Tae Bo tapes and the Gazelle at least once a day. My current weight is 280. I hope to get down to 220. I have no desire to be svelte and I think that is unrealistic at my age. I DO however want to be more fit and in less pain. I have been reading some of your posts and I am inspired, so wish me luck

If you look at the blue header lines, you will see "user CP" on the bottom row left side. Click on that one, then look for "Edit signature" in the column on the left. Click there and scroll down until you see the small box and add your information in there and save

              Re: introducing myself

Hi and welcome back!! Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet.

There are plenty of exercises you can do - if you can bike you can walk, you don't have to go fast, just get your heartrate up....core exercises don't hurt your knees, push-ups, upper body weights Don't sell yourself short .... you CAN do this!!!

Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/

Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable.

I go to the edit signature page and pan down then double click on the Http address for the ticker. It brings me to a page where I can edit. Then I save and it automatically updates back here at ADBB
