  • New To the Board

Hi, I just want to introduce myself. I am 4 weeks in on the Atkins Diet with the last 2 weeks of being off the wagon. I joined looking for support and hope to be able to give support and encouragement. I started at 146 pounds and have lost to 138. I can't say I am stalled as I ate(and drank!) some wrong things the last couple of weeks but I do know I have lost alot of inches. I wished I had taken measurements/ I can tell ya I know because I am wearing a dress to work tomorrow I haven't worn in 3 years. Back on track today and going forward!! Opening for a big music show at the end of the month and need to continue to lose those inches!!
Looking forward to hearing from those of you who may be where I am---4 weeks in and cheated---or feel like you may be.

    WELCOME

Ok you said you cheated, it's in black and white so move on. If you knocked yourself out of keotsis (which after 2 weeks of not eating correctly, you probably are) go back to induction for a few days until you get back into keotsis then move forward again. It's not the end of the world -- just try not to let it happen again.

    Good luck to you!!

Hi Mama/Singer, It's that "just one bite" that derails a lot of people. Unfortunately Atkins is a Way of Eating where one slip up can lead to an avalanche of bad eating so you do need to vigilant. Just pick back up again and keep trying. Nobody's perfect. You are doing terrific so far, especially since you don't have a lot to lose.

Down a dress size? That's a big deal! Don't let a few slipups stop you from getting to where you want to be. We all hit bumps along the way but to keep going is the key to success. I'm sure you'll look great for your opening!
