    Hello all!!!

    Most of you probably don't remember me but I used to be VERY successful on Atkins and quite the busy bee around adbb. For some reasons I still can't wrap my won head around, decided that I could do it on my own and left. Weeeeeellllll, I was wrong...LOL!!! I have gained all of my weight back, and then some. I am SO ready to get myself back to where I was and actually GET to goal this time. I used to be 17 pounds from goal!!

    I don't know what I was thinking then but the sacrifices I have to make on Atkins are necessary...I think I knew it all along, I just didn't want to believe it. I have never taken any diet seriously before Atkins, so when it got tough, I wondered if I was this strict doing any other diet, I could be just as successful as I was on Atkins. Simply put, that did. not. work. Weight Watchers..I was starving. Low Calorie..starving and was so light headed I thought I would pass out half the time. I even tried my hand at Herbalife and while I did have success on that, I just can't drink 2 of my 3 meals a day. Not for me. Not only that, NONE of the diets taught me how to eat. I felt like I had no real clarity while following those 'diets'...it was all just do this b/c it says so. I know WHY Atkins works. I have just come to realize, this is where I need to be.

    So I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to everyone here I don't know, and just let everyone know how excited I am to be back at adbb and I look forward to getting to know all of you

    Hi and welcome back -- Here is a little information I hope will refresh your memory and help get you going again. Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), take supplements and exercise. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. We also have challenges for members to join, some are exercise related and some aren’t. Also start a journal and post your thoughts along the way.

    Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable.

      Hi Stephanie and welcome back. Something about getting close to goals that seems to trigger that overconfidence and that seems to be the most vulnerable time for many of us. Just glad you found your way home.

        That's guys for the warm welcome back. Yesterday was payday so today DH and I are stocking up on everything we need, and then Monday it's on! LOL I am really looking forward to this time around

          Good work. Hope you find great items on sale. Lots of chicken, pork, beef and fish. Sometimes I luck out it stores and get good deals.
