hi people i started 2 weeks ago tomorrow and ive lost a stone,im from the uk and was wondering if im eating write as i woke today feeling totally crap,im eating bacon,eggs,mushrooms,tomatoes,cheese and cheese strings,deli cornbeef and ham,100% beef burgers,peparamis,chicken,tuna and drinking water and diet coke but the sticks havent changed at all even though people dont rate them

it would be more helpful for amount of each item your eating....you could say tomatoes and I'd think 1 slice when you actually mean a large tomato --- please let us know the amounts.
How much water are you drinking? You should be drinking at least 64 ounces daily nothing added -- just water. Diet coke isn't the best thing to drink during induction, you are suppose to be changing bad habits for good ones. 1 can of Diet Coke - 8 cans?????Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily

hi um about 4 cherry tomatoes and mainly having a omlette in the morning with some cheese bacon and mushrooms on then a dinner with salad which is tuna,cucumber and lettuce and a touch of mayo,loads of water but also diet coke by the pint,maybe i should lay off the coke,2 peperamis and two cheese strings thanks for the reply

Yes - the diet cokes might be affecting your efforts, so you could drop them for the next week or so and see what happens, but check the nutrition info and ingredients of the peperami and string cheese - they might be OK.
The rest of the food seems fine
And you ahve lost 14 pounds (1 stone) in the 2 weeks which proves you are doing something right
You might be one of the (many) people who can't get a colour change on those pesky ketosticks - I was the same even when losing fast!!
Have you any of the other signs of ketosis?Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

hi ya um i had sticky arm pits lol about three days ago and had to keep drinking water as i was dehydrated so much,the cheese strings and peparami have nothing in them,well a trace which is nothing,done about 80 miles in the two weeks on my bike so that must of helped the weight loss,what abot kebab meat as i had that

You must be doing something write if you have lost a stone in 14 days! Have you tried logging everything you eat daily into Fitday? it will help you keep an eye on your carb, fat and protein levels daily, its a very helpful tool.

I wouldn't worry about the sticks - if you're losing, and you don't feel really unwell, then all is well.
As others have said, you might want to avoid the Diet Coke as I think it has aspartame in it - fine for some, not for others [I think, although someone will soon correct me if I'm wrong!]
As for cheese strings etc, I think they're fine - I like to snack on them at work, good for when you need something low-carb to give you a boost!I'm Nicole, 17 year old female
